About ICCB

The International Conference on Computational Bioengineering is a conference series initiated in Spain on 2003. Originally conceived by Miguel Doblaré, Helder Rodrigues, and Miguel Cerrolaza, the series is now steered by an international scientific committee that include also Marco Viceconti and Jean-Louis Coatrieux.

The conference series has so far four instalments: The original motivation of the series was to provide to the researchers of Latin countries (Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Central and South-America) a preferential space where to present their work to an international audience. However, from the very first issue the conference characterised more as a truly international forum where researchers in computational bioengineering could met and discuss in full depth their methods and results, given the truly specialised nature of the event.

ICCB conferences usually have 150-200 participants, and are designed to favour as much as possible the informal networking between researchers in addition to the exchanges in the scientific sessions. Beautiful locations, great food, an easy-going atmosphere are the landmark features of these events, which contribute to create a social environment that favours the development of collaborations and exchanges.
